Denture Products
Denture adhesives should not be used to compensate for ill-fitting dentures. A dentist or denturist should be consulted to adjust or reline the dentures to fit properly.
Denture Paste
Denture paste comes in a tube and is squeezed right onto the denture. It comes in a variety of flavours and strengths. To properly apply paste to dentures, thoroughly clean then follow instructions on the package. Paste can leave an unpleasant residue in the mouth when the denture is removed.
Drinking carbonated soda will help dissolve the access paste upon denture removal.
Powdered Adhesives
Powdered adhesives change your bite less than pastes and are easier to clean off dentures. To use, clean the denture, then shake powder onto it and place the denture into your mouth.
Denture Wafers
These are cut to fit the shape of the denture and work better if the denture is more of a snug fit. Place the strip in the denture and seat properly in the mouth. Saliva will help the wafer adhere to the gum tissue.
